The Main pillars of an organization, Whats the difference ?

Mission and vision are statements for a organization which answers the questions about
1 Who we are?
2 What do we value ?
3 Where we’re going ?
4 How we are going to achive that ?

But each one of the pillars has a purpose and each one guides the behaviors of people in the organization and how outer people looks at the brand/ organisation. Mission and vision statements play three critical roles:

(1) communicate the purpose of the organization to stakeholders
(2) inform strategy development
(3) develop the measurable goals and objectives(OKRs) by which to gauge the success of the organization’s

But lets also understand what is the difference between mission and vision statement

Difference 1

Vision Statement is why the concept has originated and what is the impact of the solution in future
Mission statement is always tangible results , who will do what action , mostly talking to the internal employees who are working today

Vision Statement is future oriented
Mission statement is always for today leading to futurean organization’s identity and provide answers to the fundamental question “Who are we?” While a vision looks to the future, a mission captures the key elements of the organization’s past and present.

Vision is always Aspirational
Mission is Purpose oriented

Vision statement is always something to be Accomplished
Mission statement is something which has to be perused to accomplish that

Amazon Vision statement is very clear on where they wanted to get and how wanted to achieve is by low cost and showing best collocation and best convenience

Though Facebook vision and mission statements are little ambiguous
